Rob Tobias writes and plays roots music inspired by folk, blues, jazz, reggae, pop, sing-along and spiritual styles. Tobias has his own stamp of originality that is both familiar and distinctive. Rob sings, plays piano, guitar, harmonica, and percussion and collaborates with a talented group of musicians including his group “The Northwest Express.” Rob has performed at festivals such as the Willamette Valley Music Festival, Northwest Folklife, The Green Festival, Da Vinci Days, Singing Alive, Salem Arts Fair, and the Oregon Country Faire. Tobias’s CDs exploree a variety of styles including uptempo swing blues, acoustic folk, reggae, rock, and Jewish renewal. Lyrically they include themes of peace, justice, love, spirituality, and family. Rob Tobias house concerts include a taste of his songwriting performed on guitar, harmonica, and piano/keyboard.
